Working with ArchiCAD since 1992. Since then, I did numerous projects with different sizes and complexity. While everyone was 2D drafting, we were virtually building in 3D. Helping Architects and construction firms to implement BIM has always been rewarding.
I also took the GDL, Geometric Descriptive Language of ArchiCAD, to another level. In 1997 I designed, generated and co-produced a stand-alone 3rd party library for ArchiCAD, Designer Home Furniture. DHF is sold through multiple online stores.
From 1999 to 2008, I created a custom library for Four Seasons Sunrooms including all their systems. Graphisoft produced SolarCAD, a customized version of ArchiCAD for FSS. The custom objects configure each room create all required drawings for permits, Bill of materials for manufacturing and 3D for sales and presentation. I also created an online version from the custom library for the online ordering and processing.
The steel and wood wall panel systems utility and objects is another development. It analyzes the 3D model in ArchiCAD and replaces it with 3D objects of wall panels recognizing wall geometry and its relations to other walls. Each object will automatically create a full drawing for manufacturing and a list of all required material for the ordering process. For a whole project, a report is generated with all required material. A similar system for slabs is in development.
